What is Expressboard?
Expressboard is a global showcase platform and marketplace for creative and original work, products and services made by the creative entrepreneurs around the world. It allows anyone to showcase, sell and buy original work, products and services while being able to connect with their potential customers and partners, and the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded individuals on fun and interesting projects.
What can I use Expressboard for?
Good question. Expressboard is a showcase platform and marketplace where it allows anyone to showcase, sell and buy their creative work and handmade goods. If you are an artist, a designer, an illustrator, a maker, a photographer or simply someone who wants to share what you are interested in or passionate about, Expressboard can help you showcase and sell your creative work and handmade goods, along with the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals to work on something fun and probably meaningful. I did not receive the account activation email. What should I do next?
Please check your spam folder or the junk mail folder in your email first. Sometimes some email service providers (such as Yahoo or Hotmail) may regard these emails as spam or junk mail. If you don't see it in either folder, please contact us at support@expressboard.com. We will guide you go through the rest of the account setup process.
I am unable to signup / login, what should I do?
First, please make sure you enter your email address and your password correctly; sometimes it might be a misspelling or word capitalization. If you continue to run into problem logging in or signing up, please contact us at support@expressboard.com , we will gladly help you out.
I forgot my password. How can I reset my password?
If you forget your password, you can retrieve it by clicking on “I Forgot My Password” link on the Login popup window. Enter the email address that's on file with your Expressboard account. You will receive an email containing instructions to reset your password.
Where can I edit my personal profile?
You can mouse-over to the top right hand corner on the header bar where the gearwheel icon is, and you will see a drop-down menu. Click on "Edit Profile" and you will be taken to “Edit Profile” page where you can make changes on your name, location and password.
How can I follow someone, so I can see more of his (her) showcases?
You will need to click on the username for whom you wish to follow on the “Showcase by” section on the right-hand side of his / her showcase page. You will be taken to the person's profile page. When you are on his / her profile page, click on the word “Follow”. Then, on the top right-hand corner of the header page, you will see a Thumbs-up icon, click on the icon, you will be directed to the watchlist where it lists all the showcases created by the users you follow.
Where can I change / update the type of notification I get?
After you log into your account, mouse-over to the top right hand corner on the header bar where the gearwheel icon is, and you will see the choice “Settings”. Click on it, you will be taken to the “Settings” page where you can check off the type of notifications you wish to receive.
Where I can see all the notifications about all activities relating to my accounts (likes, followers and purchases and etc.)?
On the top right-hand corner of the page, you will see a conversation icon (the two conversation bubble icon). If there are unread notifications, it will be shown on the top right-hand corner of the icon with a number. Click on the icon, you will be taken to the notification page where you can read all the unread and old notifications. You will also get notifications by email also.
I want to create a showcase, where should I start?
After you log into the site, you will see a red plus icon ("+") on the header bar next to your username. Simply click on the icon and you will be taken to the “Create a Showcase” page, and then you can start filling out the content to for your first showcase.
Where do I see all the showcases I have created?
All showcases created will be stored / saved in “My Showcases” page. You can mouse-over to the top right hand corner on the header bar where the gearwheel icon is, and you will see the “My Showcases” option on the drop-down menu. Click on it and you will be taken to “My Showcases” page where you get to see all published and draft showcases. You can click to open any draft showcases on that page and publish it when you are ready.
What should I do when I have more questions?
Currently, Expressboard is still at Beta stage, and therefore, please do not hesitate to write to us at support@expressboard.com if you have any questions regarding the features as well as issues you find on the site. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
Do you have a phone number I can call?
No, but please don’t misunderstand this as any lack of interest! We would love to answer your questions. We know the decision to omit phone support is not common, but we have found out that communicating through email will enable us to provide the fastest response after experimenting with different approaches. We want to focus on providing fast and high-quality responses by email, so you are always talking to a human who can provide help in an efficient manner.
What are rules apply to Minors on Expressboard?
Individuals under the age of 18 are considered minors on Expressboard. Minors must have a parent or legal guardian manage their Expressboard accounts. We believe there are many kids and teens who are creative, but to ensure we have a safe environment for every user on Expressboard, we have the following restrictions in place for legal reasons: 1. All minors, both buyers and sellers, may not make purchases unless they're under the direct supervision of the parent or legal guardian who manages their Expressboard account; 2. All financial information on the minor's Expressboard account, such as a credit card or Stripe account, must be that of a parent or guardian. 3. Minors must update their profiles (in the "About" section) to disclose who is involved in the account, e.g., "[Minor’s first name] has permission to make purchases on Expressboard, and her/his parent/guardian oversees this Expressboard account." 4. The parent/guardian of a minor must write to contact@expressboard.com with a statement of permission. The subject line should be "Parent/Guardian of [Expressboard username] wishes to activate account.” Selling on Expressboard Minors who wish to sell on Expressboard must follow some additional policies: Use the "About" section in Profile page to disclose all members of the shop, including the parent or legal guardian.
